Your Future is Bright
Sometimes we feel like our light has been dimmed by our past experiences and ongoing life stressors. Life is pulling you in so many different directions and you just can’t let go of the painful memories of your past. Maybe others have noticed that you have been more irritable, distant, or just “different”.
Whether it be anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or other life circumstances, don’t let that hold you back from building the life you deserve. You’re here because you finally want to take back control of your life and begin to find your true self again. Your struggles do not have to define you and you deserve to be happy.
It's time to put yourself first and reach out for help. Let us work together in finding balance through being present, practicing self-care, and positive thinking.
Nichole Barrett, LPC NCC MS
My name is Nichole Barrett and I am a licensed professional counselor and certified clinical trauma professional. I have over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field and specialize in working with adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and other diagnoses and life challenges.
Everyone has their own unique perspective and life experiences and that is why I take an individualized approach to treatment planning and therapy. Let’s work together in exploring evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques to guide you in learning new skills and building resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy involves identifying and reframing unhelpful thinking habits that you may have developed through negative life experiences. It can change the way you think, feel, and respond to others and the world and improve your self-image.
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
Mindfulness practices are based on increasing awareness of the present moment without judgement. It is an evidence-based treatment for stress, anxiety, depression, and a multitude of other difficult emotions. Deep breathing, meditation, and practicing acceptance are among many of the mindfulness techniques that you might find helpful.
Trauma Informed Therapy
Trauma therapy allows you a safe space to piece together and process traumatic experiences so that you can re-focus your attention on your present and future. Identifying underlying triggers and incorporating relaxation techniques will guide you in rebuilding trust, reconnecting with others, and finding yourself again.
